The 4th at the Dells

We had a nice weekend at the Dells over the 4th. In conjunction with needing to be away for the 4th we celebrated Scott's Birthday the way we usually do...at the water park. This year we went to Noah's Arc and then 2 days at The Great Wolf Lodge. We had a great time and the kids are convinced all other water parks pale in comparison to the Arc. The weather was great and it was not even that crowded. Here are some Pictures of the day.

Scott going down the Plunge. He was preparing for the Point Of No Return.
With my stomach in my throat and he so nervous he was shaking, Scott went down the Point. It was a nerve racking moment to say the least. He did it and earned bragging rights! Great job Scott!!

I have to laugh at this picture. This is on the bridge at the Flash Flood ride. They LOVED the huge wave the ride produces.
Hello sassy girl!

After a day at Noah's Arc we headed over to the Great Wolf for a few days. Much to the disappointment of the kids Wiley's Woods closed down and was replaced by MagiQuest. It is an interactive video game that takes place all over the resort. You use a wand and find a variety of things to conquer levels. They loved it and spent most of the time playing it. They only spent 2 hours in the water park.

Good Bye All!!!
On a personal note my Dad has been gone for 1 year now. We watched the fireworks in the Dells and it reminded me of his new freedom. I miss him every day, but it is getting easier. It is amazing the depth grief can reach, and then climb its way out again.

I love you Amy! I hope this last weekend was a good distraction! It looked like a lot of fun! I haven't been to Noah's Ark in FOREVER, so it was shocking to be reminded of how MUCH bigger Point of No Return is than The Plunge. I won't even go on The Plunge!! Where are the pics of you?!?
