Birthday Weekend

With Kaitlyn's birthday on the 28th and Carl's on the 31st, we went to a new water park in Gurnee Illinois for a getaway. We loved our room which had bunk beds and was perfectly located steps from the water park entrance, the arcade and restaurants. The building was so brightly decorated you had to be happy.

Being used to the Wisconsin Dells, the water park is a bit small, but that did not stop the kids from wanting to be there many many hours. We took some time to go shopping at Gurnee Mills Mall. It was a nice weekend. We celebrated Carl's birthday on Saturday and had cinnamon rolls for cake. They were quite good.
I love this picture of Kaitlyn

Here we are celebrating Carl's birthday!

I love you man!

The dynamic duo who love the big slides.

Carl won!

The lazy river, a great creation!

I tried for a smile, but it alluded me.

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn!

January 28th was Kaitlyn's 12th birthday. What a great day. She had her first night in Young Womens Wednesday and had a good time. She had some overwhelming moments, but is excited to be in the youth program at Church. We went out to dinner and opened presents Thursday with my Mom and Gma Sullivan.

No Bailey, the toy is not yours. But oh he wanted it bad!

She has waited so long, but finally got her Ipod, and immediately the attitude was dialed up a notch! Hand on the hip and all. No really, it was fun to see her so excited.

I know all Moms say this, but I really cannot believe she has gotten so big. Next year she will be a teenager, and I will be 40 (not much to look forward to!).

Meyers Family Pics

Last weekend we were able to head up to FDL to spend some time with Carl's family. We were too lazy to take pictures of everyone over New Years, so we took the opportunity to this time. The kids are getting so big and no one really wanted to have their picture taken. It was like pulling teeth (which Carl did literally for the dog Freedom) to get some to smile. In all we got some with Great Grandma Meyers which is important. It was a nice evening.
The kids are caroling!

Kaitlyn and Scott with Great Grandma Meyers. So Cute!

Here are the cousins, smile everyone!

Aaron, Kyle lets see a smile. Freedom looks like he survived the extraction with a paper towel.

Mr. and Mrs Meyers with Grandma Meyers. I love this picture!

The pictures of our family are in Mrs. Meyers' camera. Oh darn!
